We purchased the Siemens SL33A002UC, in Aug. of 2006. Which is just a bit over two years. We foolishly did not purchase the extended warranty. However, who would have thought one would need such a warranty???? (on what is claimed to be such a high end product.) After two short years we came home to dishwater in the bottom of the appliance and the breaker tripped. We have reset the breaker, and have NO power to our dishwasher. It will cost me more in the service call, parts, labor, and grief than to purchase a low end dishwasher. Which the low end dishwasher we took out of there (over ten years old) never had a problem, and still ran , we were "upgrading" our appliances. Siemens told me to fly a kite, I will tell everyone I know, come across, cyberspace, any media form I can find.... not to buy a Siemens, unless they want to buy a warranty too! Try a different brand people, save yourself the rude customer service, and headache. Go cheap people, it will save you in the end.
