Matsui MF 2 Dishwasher
June 17, 2008

A decent product from Matsui, the Matsui MF2 Freestanding Dishwasher offers a number of key features that enables a relatively better dishwashing.
Standard size
The Matsui dishwasher is a standard sized machine with dimensions showing 81.5 H x 60 x W and 61.2 x D. Therefore, easily installed and maintained. It is also spacious owing to a continuous front door a striking feature that usually comes with full sized freestanding models.
A sleek contraption
The design of the MF2 is aesthetically pleasing. The slick and gleaming white surface immediately attracts attention. Although, the rest of the body comes in a standard white shade, the front decoration is subject to colour choices.
Spacious interiors
The Matsui MF2 Dishwasher comes with a stainless steel interior qualified with 12 place settings. Even though standard 12 place settings does allow only standard sized dishes this model can easily accommodate irregularly sized ones too since it upholds adjustable racking. Presence of a cutlery basket in this model comes as a bonus.
Striking features
The MF2 supports a number of special aspects that usually comes with advanced machines. It has a rinse aid indication feature that protects the glassware from spotting, a salt indicator to aid in the water softening process, a system to control water overflow and a decent 2 temperature level cleaning too.
Noise level
Trusting the public opinion, any dishwasher that comes with a noise level below 55 dB is a quiet machine. Therefore, the MF2’s noise level at 54 dB deserves a closed eye.
Mixed standard in overall performance levels
The MF2 secures a good ‘A’ rating in the energy efficiency part. Yet the other two factors, the cleaning and drying efficiencies trail a bit at a not so impressive, even if good ‘B’ rating. Water consumed by the MF2 is a respectable 16 litres.
Conclusion
Obviously the Matsui MF2 White Dishwasher is a decent machine but for a few flaws. The advantage here is that being an economic machine it not only runs at low costs but also comes at an affordable price. The protruding disadvantage is that at eco-programme mode it cuts a pathetic figure. Hence, the advantage of eco programming is at stakes. This combined with the not so impressive cleaning and drying performance levels forms the total con part.
